The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information: personal identifiers and contact details (email address). The website may collect identifiable date (i.e. IP addresses to analyse traffic and to enable functionality.
How we collect personal data:
Personal data is collected through the ‘subscribe to our mailing list’ form on our website. We use the information that you have given us to contact you on an occasional basis to update you about upcoming event and other activities.
We will only contact you for legitimate business interests. If you subsequently consent to us contacting you, we will always aim to be respectful, relevant and appropriate. If at any time you do not think that we have complied with this, please contact us straight away to let us know.
Your email is stored directly with mailchimp who operate full security measures.
Sign up to our races is taken via a third party suppliers (sientires ltd/Race Sign Up/FInd A Race) and shared with us for the purposes of event administration. Please see the respective privacy policy for each third party supplier.
We will only share personal data with third parties where we are required by law, where it is necessary to administer the relationship between us, or where we have another legitimate interest in doing so.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information is your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time by ‘unsubscribing’ from the mailing list or by contacting us using the contact details below. Once we have recieved notification that you have withdrawn your consent, we will no longer process your personal information, unless we have another legitimate basis for doing so in law (such as fulfilling an agreed contract for services).
We will retain your personal information for only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it is collected, or as required by law. After this period, we will securely delete your information.
